Legendary powder prowess

Lead shapers Seth Wescott and Rob Lu were inspired to update the original 1970’s Roundtail and took lessons learned from 50 years of board design to create one of our flagship powderboards.

With its larger than average nose, setback stance and tapered round tail, this board is made for the powder hound looking for an optimal experience in deep snow, while still being able to perform well in the crud and on groomers.

Love surfing fresh pow AND the sluff on the side of the trail at the end of the day? The Roundtail was made for you.

Camber Profile

Long low rise nose, initiated just before the contact point in combination with full camber lets the board shape keep you on top of the snow, with minimal plowing in front of the board.

Perfect combo of surf and carve

Just got back from Mt Hood with this board and am a little concerned that none of the other boards in my quiver could be getting much playtime. An absolute blast to ride, super back foot surfy but able to lay down deep carves. Past 3 days I've taken it into very snow condition possible...Cascade crud, ice, steep corduroy, deep soft pow, wet and heavy untouched, skied out bumps, even a little air time...and this board really delivered. One of my favorite shapes was the early Burton Fish but it was a fish out of water on anything but pow. The WS Roundtail is as playful and "wiggly" as the fish but excels it on the trip to, and from, the goods. Granted you have to stay on top of this when carving at high speeds but it's well worth the effort. Three gorgeous first chair laps down fresh courd on Palmer at Timberline had me feeling like the back leg burn was well worth the feeling that even the fastest person on the mountain seemed to be standing still. Full and even strong press on this board had me locking in rails at speed then a shift into the back seat was all it took to weave through the tightest trees. Bumps threw me a bit but no worse than any other board and it seemed to fit in the troughs a bit better than most making a thought out and executed line well rewarded. Pleased to find that Winterstick lives up to the hype and that this aesthetically gorgeous board is more than just a pretty face.

Surfy, even in an indoor ski area!

I demoed this board at Big Snow in NJ. It is a very fun board. Most certainly a surfy model. It felt good even on the chewed up snow there. I would love to try it on a groomed trail laying down turns and in powder. I used plate bindings and Hardshell boots... and it was great!

    Best Ride of My Life!

I have been snowboarding in Alaska for 17 years now. After many years on the slopes and backcountry, I've ridden so many different boards in my life.. and when I tell you Winterstick is the real deal.. I mean it!

As the bartender at Majestic Heli Ski, Alaska I need a board that will allow me to shred with the big dogs and stay safe and confident in my riding. The smooth and aerodynamic design of the Winterstick Roundtail 153 allowed me to absolutely shred the variable terrain of The Chugiak Mountain Range.

I will be returning to Alaska for the winter Heli Ski season next year and I will be dreaming of the day I get to strap into that beauty once again. Until then.. I simply won't shut up about it..

    Not Just For Pow!

I’m a long-time hardbooter who recently relaxed my riding a bit and started riding soft boots on boardercross boards. I demo’ed this board at Homesick! at Stratton on a day with solid groomed trails interspersed with random icy patches. It held an amazing edge even on the hard stuff, and carved like a dream. It was also super stable and popped right from one turn into the next…it’s carving ability was completely unfazed by the short tail and set back stance. I probably took my most enjoyable runs of the entire weekend on this board.
