Backwoods Snowboards x Winterstick — 20 Years, 10 Boards, 1 Maine Original

This year marks 20 years of Backwoods Snowboards, and to celebrate, we teamed up on something truly special — a limited-edition run of 10 custom Winterstick boards designed by Backwoods to be perfect for Maine riding. We called it the Stump Grinder.

This isn’t just a graphic swap. Backwoods worked closely with us to create a unique shape that thrives in everything Maine’s mountains throw at you — from tight tree runs to deep powder days. Each board is numbered 1 through 10 and features the same anniversary graphic, but with a twist: every board is a different color, fading from hunter orange to forest green.

They’re available in 154cm, 157cm, and 160cm lengths, and like all Winterstick boards, they’re handcrafted right here in Maine. Each size has carbon stringers in the tail to let you power through turns, and pop to the moon. Featuring a bit of early rise in the nose and tail, the Stump Grinder is going to be loose and playful, but feel locked in when you get it up on edge.

The 154 has a 258mm waist, with a 7m side cut, 30mm setback and 12mm of taper.

The 157 has a 262mm waist, with a 7.5m side cut, 30mm setback and 12mm of taper.

The 160 has a 266mm waist, with a 8m side cut, 30mm setback and 12mm of taper.

And here’s the kicker — you can’t buy them from us.
You can’t find them online.
The only place to get one is at Backwoods Snowboards.

If you want a piece of Maine snowboard history, you’ll need to head to Backwoods and see them in person before they’re gone.
