“Los Angeles Center, Aspen 20, can you give us a ground speed check?”

After putting in countless days riding his Original Winterstick Swallowtail, Rob Kingwill felt inspired to shape a modern version with a little more horsepower. He took out some of the taper, widened the swallowtail, and added some angular inspiration from the elusive Aurora Project plane design. Looking for stability on steeper runs in Jackson Hole and Alaska, the sidecut radius blends from tight to long in tail, for a catch-free riding experience. Not just for powder, this board handles just about every snow condition with ease, and may become your daily driver. Although it is inspired by stealth, the jet black and red top sheet is going to set off every radar as you walk through the parking lot and tram line!

Camber Profile

    Powder Missile

Riding this board in Valdez, Alaska as we speak. So much fun in the deep stuff. I'm riding the 173 and I'm surprised at how nimble it is for a bigger board. My friends can't keep up with me. I love it.

Perfect combo of surf and carve

Just got back from Mt Hood with this board and am a little concerned that none of the other boards in my quiver could be getting much playtime. An absolute blast to ride, super back foot surfy but able to lay down deep carves. Past 3 days I've taken it into very snow condition possible...Cascade crud, ice, steep corduroy, deep soft pow, wet and heavy untouched, skied out bumps, even a little air time...and this board really delivered. One of my favorite shapes was the early Burton Fish but it was a fish out of water on anything but pow. The WS Roundtail is as playful and "wiggly" as the fish but excels it on the trip to, and from, the goods. Granted you have to stay on top of this when carving at high speeds but it's well worth the effort. Three gorgeous first chair laps down fresh courd on Palmer at Timberline had me feeling like the back leg burn was well worth the feeling that even the fastest person on the mountain seemed to be standing still. Full and even strong press on this board had me locking in rails at speed then a shift into the back seat was all it took to weave through the tightest trees. Bumps threw me a bit but no worse than any other board and it seemed to fit in the troughs a bit better than most making a thought out and executed line well rewarded. Pleased to find that Winterstick lives up to the hype and that this aesthetically gorgeous board is more than just a pretty face.

    Fun, Fast and Floaty

Got to try this board out in the mountains of Maine, conditions were a fresh 4" of heavy snow and groomers that were packed powder. The board wants to go fast, when you put it on edge it is staying on edge and you are moving quick. I really enjoyed how fun a carve was to lay down with this guy, and in the spots of fresh snow I could tell what this board was really meant for. Would definitely recommend this board to anyone looking for a directional powder board that can also fly on fresh groomers.

    Masterpiece 🙌🏼

This is the best all mountain, everything snowboard I have ever ridden. It literally handles everything!!! The twin shape allows for the jib butter love!!! It’s got tremendous pop !!! With the whale tail shape it floats like a champ in pow and hot pow, but rides both directions like a park board!! Holds an edge with ease !! It drives and turns on a dime!!! Its just insane!!! Get you one !!!
