“Los Angeles Center, Aspen 20, can you give us a ground speed check?”

After putting in countless days riding his Original Winterstick Swallowtail, Rob Kingwill felt inspired to shape a modern version with a little more horsepower. He took out some of the taper, widened the swallowtail, and added some angular inspiration from the elusive Aurora Project plane design. Looking for stability on steeper runs in Jackson Hole and Alaska, the sidecut radius blends from tight to long in tail, for a catch-free riding experience. Not just for powder, this board handles just about every snow condition with ease, and may become your daily driver. Although it is inspired by stealth, the jet black and red top sheet is going to set off every radar as you walk through the parking lot and tram line!

Camber Profile

    Amazing board, weird skis

The board is amazing. Build quality is beautiful, flex is just right for riding and skinning and the base is super fast. The camber under foot skinning provides great traction and the Contour skins they suggest are weird but work very well with a bit of practice. Downside is for skinning the nose has super low rise and the tips are very pointy so you can auger the tips into the skin track if you are not careful. Also the long nose makes it tricky to drop the tail down on kick turns. It would not be a good board for someone with little skinning experience. But once you put it together and ride it you will have a blast! It floats over everything so you can get to powder stashes nobody else can. Landing in powder off drops/jumps is really easy and inspires confidence to go bigger/faster. Plus the base is so fast I was able to coast across flats where others have to double pole. I used it on a one week hut trip in BC and had a great trip thanks to the board!
