Built for the steeps

Designed in conjunction with Pemberton Local, Chris Ankeny, the Pintail is a board that combines the camber profile from the Roundtail, the taper from the Wescott, a longer sidecut and a wider waist to keep you from booting out as you cut over to your line. Made to slay spines and couloirs, the Pintail will get you from peak to valley in less than 12 parsecs. Don't try and put the Pintail in a box though, put it on a groomer and leave your buddies behind.

“The Pintail is the modern big wave gun I’ve always dreamed of. The board you want to grab when the stars align and you're headed for the dream lines. A board that can handle high speed bottom turns yet has the playfulness to navigate knife edge spines. With a classic Winterstick nose that is darn impossible to bury and always seems to surface no matter how deep the snow, a long drawn out sidecut that just wants to go fast and a flex that is solid yet still poppy and last but not least the real beauty is the gas pedal power you get out of the pintail. If you like pinning it down big mountains, this is the board for you.” -Chris Ankeny

Camber Profile

Long low rise nose, initiated just before the contact point in combination with full camber lets the board shape keep you on top of the snow, with minimal plowing in front of the board.

    All Gas, No Brakes

For big mountain lines that scream “full throttle”, this board is the gold standard.

At speed, this deck is extremely stable. The wide nose cuts through powder and wind slabs like a hot knife in butter . The long effective edge bites in on the steepest sections with ease . Never sinks, so “soul turns” are dreamy. Great deck for sending , the width is an asset for clean landings. On tighter lines, it’s still plenty nimble!

If you like to leave your group in the dusk , hit social media hero lines and send powder clouds into the stratosphere , this is your deck !

Does what it says on the tin

Steep and Deep is the name of the game folks; the Pintail excels in couloirs and chutes but that's just the start of it! The almost nonexistent tail allows for quick pivots and 3D braking, and the wide width prevents toe drag on even the steepest of slopes, add the burly camber and long sidecut, and this is what dreams are made of!

I've been riding for 22 years, and this is the most fun I've ever had on a snowboard; it's as capable and demanding as my Ride Berzerker, but more poppy and lively than my bamboo cored K2 Ultradream. The long early rise nose floats over chunder and small moguls without a second thought, and somehow despite the soft flex of the nose, the board is extremely stable at speed. More stable at higher speeds, actually.

The Pintail is what I imagine driving a Porsche GT3-RS feels like. Razor sharp response, extremely talkative chassis, but well tuned enough to not demand thought for inputs, it simply happens.

    Dream board!

If you want a board that prefers going fast this one is for you..This board was designed for charging big lines, having the stability to be solid at full pin yet be playful enough to manage technical terrain. I have ridden it in all conditions and find it also really shines on wide open groomers when you want to lay super g carves...floats like a dream on those deep days and even has the ability to rail banked slaloms. It's a hard charging do everything board.
